My name is Wendy Mitchell and I own Lumos Hearth & Home in Battle Ground. I have owned Lumos for 5 years now and we sell stoves, fireplaces, hot tubs, window coverings and other products that add comfort and style to your home. In owning Lumos, I have been able to combine my love of interior design and creativity to create a beautiful boutique style store that brings warmth and comfort to my clients’ homes. My background is in fashion design, and I am still a freelance fashion designer and illustrator in my (very little) free time. It is another way that I am able to bring creativity in my life.

I have lived in SW Washington for 6 years now. I lived in Camas for 2 years and I now own 5 acres in Amboy, Washington. I am renovating my house and working on the property whenever I can. I love to garden and spend time with my 2 dogs, 9 cats, 8 chickens, and 4 ducks. As if that isn't enough animals, I also foster animals for the Humane Society for Southwest Washington. It is one of the best and hardest things I have ever done. I am absolutely obsessed with travel, and just returned from a trip to French Polynesia.

I joined WEO in June of last year soon after separating from my husband, and it was the best thing I could have done for myself.  In joining WEO, I found a support group full of amazing women from all walks of life. I'm pretty introverted, so being part of a group of women that has always been so wonderful and welcoming has been the greatest gift. I love the connections I have made, and I have been so inspired and uplifted by my fellow WEO members. Our events are definitely something I look forward to every month!

My name is Joanna Blade and I am a wife to the goofiest man on the planet, mama to a beautiful toddler, and a daughter of the King. And now, a business owner. I am a virtual assistant and own Busy B VA. I have a passion for supporting small businesses and being a part of their growth and success. As a previous executive assistant for a fundraising consultant for almost 2 years and over 10 years of experience in various roles and industries, I realized that I AM CAPABLE OF STARTING MY OWN VIRTUAL ASSISTANT BUSINESS AND CAN SERVE MULTIPLE INDIVIDUALS.

Before I even officially became a business owner, Sue, the current WEO president reached out to me and truly wanted to learn about me and get to know me in addition to exploring my services. WEO was my first client and I have been a member ever since. My confidence has grown, I have developed many friendships and professional relationships, and I’ve learned so much that I’ve grown as a human being in general. No words can describe how grateful that WEO has welcomed me into this wonderful Sisterhood. I have access to one of the most supportive networks of like-minded professionals who have elevated me as a professional. Whether you're looking for mentorship, business development tools, or a community that champions your success, this Sisterhood provides the space and support to help you flourish!

Hi! I’m Peggy McNally, a proud Wellness Consultant for Olive Tree People, where our waterless products harness the incredible power of Hydroxytyrosol, nature’s most potent antioxidant and brings Beauty from Within to Skin.

At 74 years “wise,” I’ve always believed in the value of multiple streams of income. After over 50 years as a Registered Nurse, including 35 years in Nurse Anesthesia, I embraced this business during my retirement to supplement my fixed income.

What makes it so fulfilling? My deep belief in these life-changing products makes sharing them a joy.

I recently returned to WEO because I missed the friendship and networking with other incredible entrepreneurial women. We truly are better together! WEO offers so much more than connections—it’s a space for learning, empowerment, and insights from successful women who inspire us all to grow.

Oh, and let’s not forget the fun and laughter! The joy we share at WEO is unmatched, and it lights up every aspect of what we do.

I’m so grateful for this community and the opportunities it’s brought into my life.

Here’s to friendship, growth, and living better longer!

My name is Tamara Bertrand and I own NW Escape Experience and Magical Adventures Travel. With over 12 years of entrepreneurial experience, I am deeply committed to supporting local and women-owned businesses, fostering community growth, and giving back to nonprofits. As the proud owner of both an escape room and a travel agency, I combine creativity, strategy, and a love for adventure to create unique experiences for our community. My personal passions fuel my professional journey. I am a proud Disney enthusiast, a dedicated mimi, and a steadfast advocate for women’s empowerment. Whether mentoring fellow entrepreneurs, supporting community-driven initiatives, or championing nonprofits, I believe in the power of collaboration and creativity to make a lasting impact.

I have a deep love for the Women Entrepreneurs Organization (WEO). I cherish the meaningful connections I’ve built with like-minded women in business. To me, WEO isn’t just another networking group—it’s a community of women who genuinely care for and support one another. The friendships I’ve gained through WEO are invaluable, and the members are often the first people I turn to for celebration or encouragement during challenging times. Being part of this incredible group of empowering, badass women is an honor I deeply value.
