December 2024 Member Spotlight: Darina Neyret

I'm Darina Neyret, a citizen of the world and internationally known, award-winning photographer based in downtown Vancouver, WA. My love for travel and diverse cultures fueled my lifelong obsession with music, movies, and pop culture – I guess you could call me a 'culture vulture'! I was born and raised in Oakland, CA but have lived all over the world and speak three languages. I see the dance between science, spirit and art everywhere I go. In museums, restaurants, my studio and in my meditations.

As a professional photographer, I specialize in working with women who are independent, adventurous, and driven by personal growth. With a passion for storytelling and empowerment, my work centers on helping women (and men)—especially those over 40—rediscover their confidence and beauty with my camera. My expertise extends beyond photography to include speaking and writing on topics like body image, confidence, and challenging societal norms, creating a platform that celebrates women and their journeys.

Through my Body + Soul Project, I combine science and artistry to create experiences that empower women to see themselves in a new light. I offer magazine-style photoshoots that capture the unique stories of women over 40, showcasing their beauty, resilience, and individuality. Each session is designed not just to produce stunning portraits but to spark a shift in how clients feel about themselves. And to stop the negative self-talk! I am burning the book on toxic beauty stereotypes and am extending my art form to a broader mission; helping women find ease, contentment and authenticity with who they are RIGHT NOW.
